If you are a yachting enthusiast, you must be in wait for yachting season every year. Not all of us are lucky enough to have a San Lorenzo yacht, but we can still charter yachts and fulfill our desire of sailing the sea. After a great sea ride, it is both wonderful and satisfying to write down all about it on your blog or barnesandnoble.com.
However, it is tougher to choose a destination every season. Here is a simple guide to the various favorite yachting destinations for those who love sailing.
The best season to sail in the Mediterranean is summer. The Mediterranean line includes the coast of France, Sicily, Croatia, and Turkey along with the Greek Islands.
The climate in the Mediterranean is generally mild. Winters are cold and summers hot but not too extreme. If you are looking for off season sail, then winters are a better option.
However, you would need to prepare for winter travels since the coolness can go as down as 10 Degree Celcius. The top seasons commence from May and continue till autumn.
Thailand is all tropical climate with some southern regions experiencing monsoons during the monsoon season. The east coast though is pleasant from December onwards till end of February. The summers are really hot with temperatures rising up to 35 degrees.
Later, June brings rainfall that is bearable and yachting continues until August after which rains make yachting impossible until end of November.
The Caribbean is almost an ideal yachting spot throughout the year since there isn’t much weather difference between summer and winter and yachting continues all year round.
When the Nothern region experiences winter, many people head south to enjoy the winter sun and hence that is the peak season in the Carribean. The offseason weather is as pleasant in the Carribean as the winter. The winds are plenty and the waters are warm.
It is worth noting that June to November is hurricane seasons so better check the alerts if you decide to head south.
This collection of islands is also a great destination for yachting all through the year. Due to its plentifulness, the Bahama beaches are always available with some privacy even during peak seasons.
The weather across the islands is same with tropical warm temperatures. However, do look out for hurricane alerts in the Bahamas too. March and April are the best seasons for quiet yachting.
So, now that you know, charter a San Lorenzo yacht and head off to your favorite yachting destination.
